Chambery Airport

Chambery Airport is situated just north of the city. The last three years have seen a great increase in the availability of flights here from the UK. FlyBe and Excel have regular arrivals at very reasonable prices. Chambery is also the nearest airport to the resorts in our area making for some very short transfers which are, for the large part, on motorways.
The down side to Chambery Airport is that it is very small. There is only one shop and one cafe on-site and on Saturdays the terminal can be very busy. It is also situated in a fairly narrow valley which can attract bad weather resulting in flight delays or diversions on occasion. Having said that, when everything runs smoothly it can make for an incredibly convenient and cheap transfer.
