Cool Bus Zero Transfers
Three years ago Cool Bus launched the first regular, fully electric, airport transfer service into the Tarentaise valley using Tesla’s Model X SUV. Since then we have increased the number of electric vehicles in our fleet, racked up over a quarter of a million emission free kilometres and topped the Transport Innovation category at the World Snow Awards.
Tesla’s aren’t cheap so right from the off we marketed this service towards higher end clients, using our ZEAT brand and a higher price tag to try and offset the huge investment we had made. Today we’re announcing a change to this policy.
From today, anyone reserving an airport transfer from Geneva or Chambery airports, for four or less people, and travelling without skis, will be automatically booked onto a Tesla for the same price as our regular service (where vehicle availability allows*). Climate change is an emergency that we need to deal with right now and we are determined to use our emission free vehicles as frequently as our availability will allow.
Of course, the very fact that you are arriving into the Alps by plane carries its own carbon price tag so we’d like to urge our clients to consider carbon off-setting. Our partners over at POW uk recommend www.mossy.earth who are doing incredible work replanting forests. You can off-set individual trips or become a member and commit to donate on a monthly basis.
Better still, consider travelling to the Alps by train. This season, for the first time, we will be offering Tesla transfers from Bourg St. Maurice, Aime and Moutiers train stations, up to all resorts in the Tarentaise Valley (Val d’Isere, Tignes, La Rosiere, Ste. Foy, Les Arcs, Peisey-Vallandry, Montchavin-Les Coches, La Plagne, Meribel, Courchevel, Les Menuires and Val Thorens).

*on dates where the number of suitable transfer bookings outstrips our Tesla availability we will assign on a “best fit” basis. If you wish to 100% guarantee transport in a Tesla on any given date it will still be possible to do so for a 10% surcharge.
