Along with Les Menuires, Val Thorens is at the top of the most westerly of the 3 Valleys – Vallee de Belleville. With the village situated at 2300m and the highest run starting at 3200m, this is another resort that can boast an excellent snow record. With access to Meribel and Courchevel, the variety of terrain is huge. It’s also possible to ski the fourth valley from here, down to Orelle in the Maurienne.

Val Thorens has its own snowboard park which is right near the town. Be aware that it can be very cold here at night and the drive up from Moutiers takes around 45 minutes on a good day.
