The Upper Tarentaise Enduro starts with a van uplift to Plan de la Sassiere. From here we pick up the trail which begins as a traverse above the tree-line. There are some incredible views and a few very exposed sections before dropping into the trees. What follows is a superb mix of long-ish descents and short climbs whilst continually traversing the valley side, always on flowing singletrack.

The lunch stop is best taken in the protected village of Le Monal where you have stunning views of the glaciers on the opposite side of the valley. Continuing on we traverse into the resort of Ste. Foy where the route takes us on some awesome singletrack before the final technical boulder strewn descent into the valley.

A quick beer at the pub and then all that remains is the fireroad pedal back into Bourg St. Maurice. The Upper Tarentaise Enduro is a full days riding and is very physical. Some parts of the trail and also very exposed so we recommend a good level of fitness and bike skills.
