CHAMBERY TRAIN STATION TRANSFERS

Chambery train station can be a great option for travel to the Alps as it is possible to book a direct train ticket to here from Paris. There can be four or more direct options each day with tickets from 50 euros and a journey time of just under 3 hours!

Many people prefer to take a transfer from here rather than the closer train stations of Moutiers, Aime and Bourg because it saves time versus this slower section of the train journey. If you need to take a transfer up to a resort anyway, why not do it from Chambery and save yourself some time.

The Snow Carbon website offers great advice on booking trains to the Alps and a variety of routes are available via the SNCF website.

LES ARCS

Les Arcs is the Cool Bus local resort so naturally we think it’s the best in the valley! It is linked up with La Plagne to make up the huge Paradiski area. There is some incredible off-piste to be found if you know where to look.

The snowboard park is extremely well shaped and maintained. There are excellent tree runs around 1600 and Vallandry. It also has the longest ski run in the Alps from the top of the Aiguille Rouge all the way down to Villaroger. The best nightlife is in Arc 1800. The quickest access to the higher slopes is from Arc 1950 and Arc 2000.
