As we rapidly approach our 1 millionth electric kilometre, we thought it was high time…
COVID-19 Update – Low Risk Bookings
We’ve had plenty of customers getting in touch and asking what the current situation is in France for airport transfers. Firstly let’s start with the good news!
Cool Bus are now taking bookings for dates in the next twelve months with just a 50 euro deposit and nothing to pay until two weeks before you travel. This means you can book your transfers without any worries about small print and having to chase refunds. You can cancel at any time up to 14 days before and you will only lose 50 euros. Some accommodation providers and airlines are offering similar deals so there’s plenty of opportunity to book your next trip to the Alps with minimum risk. Towards the end of the summer we will publish a full list of all the similar low risk holiday options we can find, along with some alternative travel options like the train.
To book please use our regular booking form to send us an enquiry and we will get back to you with details of how to pay your 50 euro deposit by credit card.
We are fully up and running (we have been throughout) and available for airport transfers and any other transport needs but as with most industries, we have been required to make some alterations to the way we operate in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
We are currently restricted to carrying a maximum group size of six in one vehicle. Our nine seat minibuses have been fitted with plexiglass screens to separate the front area where the driver sits from the passenger area in the back. No passengers are allowed in the front row. There is a requirement for all six passengers to be from the same household. We have also fitted plexiglass screens in our Tesla’s giving a maximum carrying capacity of three passengers (whilst still allowing space for luggage).
For mixed groups the maximum number we can carry is four – two passengers for each of the two rows in the back of a Caravelle. For a mixed group in a Tesla this drops to two.
In all cases passengers must wear masks during the journey. All vehicles are throughly cleaned and disinfected between transfers.
We are also running bike uplifts in the Tarentaise valley, in fact we’ve already arranged around ten days for locals who were desperate to get some dirt under their wheels after lockdown! The exact same rules apply as above, maximum group size of six per vehicle and these six must be from the same household.
