La Plagne is made up of many villages. Starting from the bottom – 1800, Plagne Centre, Aime La Plagne, Bellecote and Belle Plagne (all of which are of the purpose built, high rise variety) plus Plagne Soleil, Plagne Villages, Champagny and Montchavin, Les Coches.
The ski runs sprawl over a very large area and provide a huge variety of terrain. It has a reputation as an intermediate, family resort but although this is true, it also has plenty of harder runs and very good off-piste than can remain untracked for several days after a snowfall.
