British Airways and Tui have regular arrivals here and service many smaller airports in the UK. Birmingham, Exeter and East Midlands have direct connections to Chambery. Chambery Airport is positioned just east of the city and services a large volume of passengers for its size. The down side is that it is situated in a fairly narrow valley which can attract bad weather. This can result in flight delays or diversions on a fairly regular basis.

The airport only operates on a commercial basis during the winter. Through the summer months it is limited to private planes. Several UK tour operators use it as a hub for their package holidays.
