CHAMBERY AIRPORT TRANSFERS
Chambery Airport is situated just east of the city and services a large volume of passengers for its size. Easyjet and Jet2 have regular arrivals here.
Chambery is also the nearest airport to the resorts in our area making for some very short transfers which are, for the large part, on motorways. The down side is that it is situated in a fairly narrow valley which can attract bad weather resulting in flight delays or diversions on a fairly regular basis.
TIGNES
Along with Val d’Isere, Tignes makes up the huge Espace Killy ski area. It is one of only a few resorts in Europe classified as snow-sure and boasts a very long winter season plus summer skiing on it’s glacier. It is well known for it’s good off-piste, half-pipe and snowboard parks.
It is spread over five resort centres with Les Brevieres at the bottom being the most picturesque. Next up is Les Boisses followed by Le Lac and Lavachet which are probably the best spots for nightlife and shopping along with Val Claret at 2100m.
