CHAMBERY TRAIN STATION TRANSFERS
Chambery train station can be a great option for travel to the Alps as it is possible to book a direct train ticket to here from Paris. There can be four or more direct options each day with tickets from 50 euros and a journey time of just under 3 hours!
Many people prefer to take a transfer from here rather than the closer train stations of Moutiers, Aime and Bourg because it saves time versus this slower section of the train journey. If you need to take a transfer up to a resort anyway, why not do it from Chambery and save yourself some time.

VAL THORENS
Along with Les Menuires, Val Thorens is at the top of the most westerly of the 3 Valleys – Vallee de Belleville. With the village situated at 2300m and the highest run starting at 3200m, this is another resort that can boast an excellent snow record. With access to Meribel and Courchevel, the variety of terrain is huge.
Val Thorens has its own snowboard park which is right near the town. Be aware that It can be very cold here at night and the drive up from Moutiers takes around 45 minutes on a good day.
